Please read this before you hire us or run anything we build on a live account.
We are a coding service, not a financial one. We write software to your instructions. We do not advise you on what or when to trade, and we do not promise that any script will be profitable.
01No financial advice
Nothing on this website, in our messages, or in the code and documentation we deliver is investment, trading, financial, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any instrument. We are not a broker, a portfolio manager, a signal provider or a registered financial adviser in any jurisdiction. Every trading decision you make is your own. If you need advice, speak to a licensed professional in your country.
02Trading risk
Trading forex, CFDs, futures, options, cryptocurrencies and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, and it is possible to lose more than your initial deposit with some brokers and account types. Only trade money you can genuinely afford to lose.
03Automation does not remove risk
An Expert Advisor executes your rules faster and more consistently than you can by hand. It cannot foresee market conditions, and it will follow a losing rule as faithfully as a winning one. Automated systems are also exposed to failures outside the code: internet or VPS outages, platform crashes, broker downtime, requotes, slippage, widened spreads, gaps, stop hunting, swap changes and sudden volatility around news. Monitor anything you run live.
04Past and simulated performance
Backtest, optimisation, strategy-tester and demo results are hypothetical. They benefit from hindsight, from historical data that may be incomplete or of poor quality, and from fill assumptions that a live market will not always honour. Past performance, whether real or simulated, does not indicate or guarantee future results. Live results routinely differ from backtests, and they differ between brokers, spreads, data feeds and account types.
05What we do and do not promise
- We promise that the code will do what the agreed written specification says it will do.
- We do not promise any profit, win rate, drawdown level, return, or any particular trading outcome.
- We do not review, endorse or validate the merit of the strategy you ask us to build. If we spot a technical problem in your rules we will say so, but the strategy remains your responsibility.
- We do not guarantee that software will be free of every defect, or that it will keep working unchanged after a MetaTrader build update, a Pine Script version change, or a broker or platform policy change.
06Test before you go live
Always run a delivered script on a demo account, on your own broker and symbols, until you are satisfied with how it behaves. Going live is your decision, and you accept the outcome of that decision.
07Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the legality of automated trading and of your chosen strategy in your jurisdiction and under your broker's or prop firm's rules, for the security of your accounts and credentials, and for any tax arising from your trading.
08Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strategy2Code is not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, data loss or other direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of any script we deliver or any information on this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project concerned.
09Third-party trademarks
MetaTrader, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, MQL4 and MQL5 are trademarks of MetaQuotes Ltd. TradingView and Pine Script are trademarks of TradingView, Inc. Strategy2Code is an independent developer and is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by either company, or by any broker.
