These terms govern the use of this website and any development work Strategy2Code carries out for you. By using the site or placing an order, you accept them.
01Definitions
"We", "us", "Strategy2Code" means the developer operating this website. "You", "the client" means the person or business ordering work. "Specification" means the written scope of work agreed before the project starts. "Deliverable" means the source code, compiled files and documentation we hand over.
02Services
We write custom trading software: Expert Advisors and indicators for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, indicators and strategies for TradingView, conversions between those platforms, and fixes or upgrades to existing source code. We are a development service only — see the Disclaimer.
03Quotes and the specification
Quotes are free and valid for 30 days. Before work begins we agree a written specification setting out what the software will do, the price and the delivery date. The specification is the contract. Anything not written in it is not included, and any request outside it is treated as new work with its own quote. Delivery estimates assume you respond to our questions promptly; delays on your side move the date.
04Payment
- Prices are quoted per project, not per hour, and are stated in the quote.
- Standard terms are 50% before work starts and 50% on delivery, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Payment gateway, bank transfer and currency-conversion charges are yours to bear.
- Taxes, where applicable, are added to the quoted price.
- Final files are released once the balance is paid.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
05Revisions, testing and acceptance
Your quote states how many revisions are included. Revisions cover adjustments within the agreed specification; changes to the strategy itself are new work. On delivery you have 14 days to test the deliverable and report anything that does not match the specification. If we hear nothing in that time, the work is treated as accepted. Defects against the specification are fixed free for 30 days after delivery.
06Ownership and licence
Once the project is paid for in full, you own the deliverable built for you and may use, modify, resell or distribute it as you wish. Until final payment is received, all rights stay with us.
We keep ownership of our own pre-existing libraries, helper functions and general techniques, and remain free to reuse them on other projects. This never includes logic that is specific to your strategy. We will not resell or publish your strategy or the software we built for you.
07Confidentiality
We treat your strategy, files and business information as confidential and will not disclose them to anyone except where you permit it or the law requires it. We will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request before you share anything.
08Your obligations
- Give complete, accurate and lawful requirements, and answer questions promptly.
- Only send us code and materials you have the right to use. We do not work on decompiled or pirated files, and we may rewrite the logic from scratch instead.
- Check that automated trading and your intended strategy are permitted by your jurisdiction, your broker and any prop firm you trade with.
- Test on a demo account before trading the software live.
- Keep your own backups of the files we deliver.
09What we do not warrant
We warrant that the deliverable will perform as described in the agreed specification when run in the environment stated there. We do not warrant that it will be error-free in every condition, that it will remain compatible after a platform or broker change, or that it will produce any trading result. Support does not cover code modified by you or another developer.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, data loss, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our software or this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the project in question. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11Cancellation
Either side may cancel a project in writing. If you cancel, you pay for work completed up to that point, as set out in the Refund Policy. We may cancel and refund unearned amounts if the requirements turn out to be unlawful, technically impossible, or materially different from what was quoted, or if communication breaks down for an extended period.
12Acceptable use of this website
Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to this website. Content on this site is ours unless stated otherwise and may not be republished as your own.
13Third-party platforms
Our software runs on platforms we do not control. MetaTrader, MQL4 and MQL5 are trademarks of MetaQuotes Ltd; TradingView and Pine Script are trademarks of TradingView, Inc. We are independent of both, and of every broker. Their rules, updates and outages are outside our control.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version always sits on this page with its revision date. The terms in force when you placed your order are the ones that apply to that order.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [your city] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We will always try to resolve matters directly by email first.
